No.. his kids are with his ex. That's why I didn't think he'd be there.
Highlight's for me are:
1. Obviously him showing up 2. Her asking me at one point if I was "OK" after he showed up 3. Her asking me why I was being mean to her 4. Her short sightedness to not get D5 anything and then getting mad at me for getting her something.
F@#k, it is indescribeable how they can do this, especially at your D's b'day party. Have they lost it?
My wife tried to bait me to go see OM when she was there with him and knock the crap out of him. I did not fall for it for many reasons. I wish I could have but we are better than that.
I am sorry you had to go through it when it was a special day for your D.
You are strong and dignified, especially when it comes to your D's and that is what counts.
lwb - it was D3's party. I got D5 a Hannah Montana movie so she wouldn't feel left out. It was $20.. no big deal.
One of the other parents got D5 a small gift as well.. same reason.
I think she was mad that she was too stupid to think of it.
Foo.. Man it's tough. It would be so easy and so justified. Unfortunately, the law doesn't care. I'd hate to lose face like that in front of the D's as well.
It's a thin line.. I'm sure others are saying "I can't believe you didn't say or do anything"
Aaaah, ok. Sorry, not paying attention. Well, W was just bitter you were more thoughtful. That was really nice by the way. Its hard at this age for the sib to have the birthday.
Jar, I tip my wine glass to you for being so, well ... detached. And, I think it was wonderfully thoughtful to get your other D a gift. You're a great dad.
