DD got her dance outfit today for her Christmas dance. It's kinds Mrs. Clausish, but short. She brought it to my room to hang it in there. One of my students who came in there later said is that yours Mrs.Y? I said oh yeah. Can't you see me having something like that hanging my classroom if it was mine? My student was probably thinking dang, our teacher has a kinky side. LOL
Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they're supposed to help you discover who you are. -- Bernice Johnson Reagon
For about 5 or 6 years my daughter and I were always in the local production of the Nutcracker. Of course, she dropped ballet one year before she should have had the role of Clara. I was the mother. I always wanted to be the mother with my own daughter as Clara. Never happened.
I don't think they share the joy of togetherness in their endeavors as much as we do. In fact, my daughter would dissolve in tears any time I watched her in class. So what did I do? I took class with her.
That would have been something to remember -- mom and D as mom and Clara! My D has a friend that just made point. It's a pretty big commitment when you get to that point. I'm in awe of your skills.
I've done aerobics for years but that ain't ballet. Actually, my D just started going with me, and my mom (who I've been 'dancing' with for 22 years). We keep each other going... I'm proud that perhaps my exercise regimen is rubbing off on my D.
