If you don't want to come up here on the forum, I could sure use some input from my old DB friends.

Hi everyone! I have been so busy these past couple of weeks. My H has been away on business to Toledo, OH, this last week which intensified my activities, such as playing taxi driver to my D15. She is one busy teen, and has something on everyday.

Anyway, I hope y'all are doing well. I am happy to be working again, even if it's only as a casual (taking over when other's are away). Despite my H being away, I have been content to just do my own thing.

There is nothing new in the R area ... same ol', same ol'!

Just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Hopefully the new job and the R are going well. Things have improved much here, just holding and learning. W tends to waffle around a little. I pray for something that will help her re-learn old priorities.

There just isn't much to say about my life right now, and especially with my M. I have just finished a casual assignment at the local university, so will probably take December off until the next one comes up. I am hoping to go visit my eldest daughter in St. Louis with my D15, and H will meet us there since he is on a project in Toledo, OH. We probably won't be there for Christmas, but just before. We will probably go to our previous city to visit D20 and other family between Christmas and New Year. S20 will be at home, so we will try and be here on the holidays with him.

So, that's pretty much it, really. No great strides forward in the R. I still wonder about my H, and if he is hiding anything. But, it's not an obsession or anything ... just the occasional 'mmm, I wonder', then I move on. Still writing, but taken a break from studying.

I have been keeping track of as many of y'all as I can, but being at work all day, then the teen taxi driver in the evenings made it difficult to post.

Take care.

Been thinking about attitude, and how I can improve and change my attitude to enhance my life. An event, good or bad, starts with a thought in someone's mind, and I want the thoughts in my mind to be good, inspiring, happy, positive ones. Here are a few things I found on this subject (you will note that these quotes have come from people from various times in history, saying the same thing in various ways. So this is a thing that we human beings have to re-learn with each generation).

"Certainly one of our God-given privileges is the right to choose what our attitude will be in any given set of circumstances. We can let the events that surround us determine our actions—or we can personally take charge and rule our lives, using as guidelines the principles of pure religion. Pure religion is learning the gospel of Jesus Christ and then putting it into action. Nothing will ever be of real benefit to us until it is incorporated into our own lives." --Marvin J. Ashton, "Pure Religion", Ensign, Nov. 1982, 63

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes of mind." William James (1842 - 1910)

"I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances." Martha Washington (1732 - 1802)

"As you approach your world, whether it's your relationships, your marriage, your career, your personal management, it's all about attitude. If you bring a bad attitude into your life, if you bring a bad attitude into your relationships, you'll get back what you give. You can never do better than your personal best, and you cannot achieve your personal best if you don't have a productive and constructive attitude." -- Dr. Phil

"Our happiness or our unhappiness depends far more on the way we meet the events of life than on the nature of those events themselves." — Wilhelm von Humboldt (From O, the Oprah Magazine March 2004)

"People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously. This is how character is built." Eleanor Roosevelt, My Day

Thanks, I needed that. All though I thought I had learned that lesson, I guess I had more to learn. It has been amazing how attitude had change events in my life lately.
