We saw Chanticleer in person just before my fall, and they were fabulous! Each of those guys has enough talent and personality to be a solo performer.
You're so right about "In the Bleak Midwinter." That is also my second favorite of all of their songs. It always makes me cry. The last time my bf and I went away at Christmas to visit my stepson and DIL (she is the choir director of their little church), the four of us did "In the Bleak Midwinter" at the Christmas Eve service.
On that youtube site with the Ave Maria is a link to a video of them doing an Irish song (maybe Scottish?) called Dulaman. They did that here as an encore. Fabulous!
