tal,

Many thanks. Suppose again its the wood and trees analogy. I can't see it because it is too close.

Keeping positive and looking forward to Christmas with the family.

Paul-

I have to agree with TAL. Seems like things are going well. It's tough to be patient.

Do you decorate for Christmas? By the way, where in the UK are you? We just had a new person start today that's from the Manchester area.

Have a good day/night!!

tal and SueS,

Thanks for the perspective. Its nice to be able to post here among friends.

Sue, you would be surprised what we do at Christmas; tree, tinsel, the works. I live in Norfolk, just outside Norwich. Beautiful part of the world.

OK, major update (dancing round the room). W phones today 10 minutes before I am due to start a training session. All mad about work and holidays. Asked 'what are our plans for August'. I played it cool and talked about what I would like to do (inside I was saying 'You want us to be together next August...hooray, jump up and down, sing out loud'). Phoned her later to discuss and basically see what the sitch was. \:D

Annoyed that her work is messing her about her holidays , but raaaaay for me!!!!

She will get a big smile when she returns home tonight - but not the real reason why.

So that was that loud noise I heard? It was you do your own little celebration dance! Yay Paul, very good boost for the morale!

Pamar,

I have loads of family in Norfolk. My folks come from around Wisbech and the Terringtons. My dad was born in Upwell and I lived there as a young child. My grandpa was the local stone mason for many years there. I love it. I also have family in Heacham and Dersingham and my favourite beach of all time is Holkam Bay - did you know they used that to film the final scenes of Shakespeare in Love? Wow, what a small world!!!! Eevryone round there is related to evryone else - bet you we could be related if you were born and bred round there!!!!!

Hi Paul-

Good for you! My H told me that "we'd" be going back to his dad's house after the first of the year. At first I got excited and then I realized that there was NO WAY he'd try to do a trip with D3 all on his own!! He needs me to go. What an adventure that will be.

So, sorry to vent on your thread....I truly am happy for you. Sounds like your W's fog has lifted quite a bit. It may not all be clear, but a lot better.

I'd love to see your part of the country. I've always wanted to travel to Europe.....England, Austria, Germany...etc. I've traveled a lot w/in the US. Been to Canada and just over the border into Mexico, but never abroad.

So, have a wonderful day. I'll be thinking of you!

SueS

Thanks all for the support and cheers.

Update: W returns home after meeting last night (all the managers) in floods of tears - the worst I have ever seen her.

Basically they have said that she can only have a short period of time off with her children next August (and that was the main reason for her to move closer to home). I just held her and let her talk - didn't offer solutions.

She seemed more determined today, but not keen on going to work. She is hopefully off tomorrow, so we are going Crimbo shopping. Should be fun.

saffie,

I'm an incomer to Norfolk, so not an inbred. Holkham is great. My kids spent most of the summer going feral on a campsite at Sandringham.

Fun times.
