What I told my H is that if it will make him happy to get the D then we should do it. I also let him know that it wasn't what I wanted. I did that right after I found out the he filed the D papers. That was 3 months ago and I haven't been served yet so, it seems like it made him stop and think. Not sure if that would help with your sitch, but it is something to consider.
