Your H sounds like mine was about 7 months ago. He has calmed down a lot since then.

When your H says "I'm going to move out and get D," try not to react. Say calmly "Yes, you already said that."

In my situation H took that as a challenge and moved out. But being rid of his ranting and raving has been great for me.
