Tough sit you have there Jar. You don't want to be too available, yet you don't want to look that the bad guy to your Ds. Well, letting her eat a little cake in the holiday spirit isn't such a bad thing.

Have a great Turkey day!

Thanks nut!!! You too!!

Wow.. so W just called to talk to the D's. I was busy with dinner etc, but she said she was excited about doing the Xmas thing with me on Friday. I said I was too, then she reiterated.. she said.. "I know things are weird between us, but I'm excited to do this" I repeated "I am too!!"

She says.. "I don't think you understand... I'm excited about doing this WITH YOU"

WOW... I was stunned.. I said "I'm looking forward to doing this with you too."

Not reading into it, because I'm sure the alien will appear just as quickly, but it's a little cool.

Keeping the guard up though. I'm not going to get body slammed over the holidays.

Yes, move cautiously. Try to be as indifferent as possible. She will sense neediness, and it will reflect weakness on your part. You can take it or leave it... Right?

Yes, he is for real. According to what his wife told me, he was in some top-secret-mission team. So he thinks his doo-doo doesn't smell bad.

And yes, wife finds him very attractive. Not physically, mind you.

You see, he listens.

If I could wish califlower (sp?) ears on anyone... it's him!!

Special forces dudes are a dime a dozen. Now.. not to doo doo on your parade, but Navy Seals are the only dudes other than Marines I would give "Special Forces" props to. Those guys are F'n nuts.

I would take a Marine sniper or Recon (anyone see Heartbreak Ridge? "Recon!!") over anyone though.

No bad blood between services.. It's just.. I'm a Marine and we are America's 911 force.

Just a little side on that.. in case folks wonder why the Marines are called that, it's because we are the only service that the President can deploy WITHOUT an act of Congress.

Hooo Rah!!

Needed to edit.. Mark.. In no way shape or form do I condone nor glorify OM. He's still a class A idiot.

Hey Jar,

Thanks for showing me there are still good men in the service. My W OM was a Coasty. ( kind of funny we used to beat up coast guard recruits when they came into town on weekends.) I always thought of them as what a be navy.
Boy I am sure his comander would be proud..

Again thanks for reminding me there are good people serving this country

hey jar, Wonder what's up with the W emphasizing the 'with you' part twice.... Take it from Mark (another dude, I'm just a needy chick LOL), she'll sniff out your neediness and use it against you. Don't let that happen!!! You are doing well.

I think he was in navy recon, whatever that is....

And isn't the Marines a division of the Navy (that's where the term "Marine" comes from, right)?

So that makes you to brothers.... well, cousins...

I get that. Completely.

I think that Marines have earned the right to think the way that they do. When I was in college, my roommate was in the Marines. Parris Island (as you can imagine) changed him, inside and out. He came back with a serious chip on his (significantly larger) shoulder. He took guff from nobody. And he could outdrink all of us too...

Yeah... we are a "Department" of the Navy. That's been changed several times. I've heard that they've asked to change it again.

Toooo many sheep jokes there! \:\)

I love being a Marine (for the record.. I've been out since 99.. once a Marine.. always a Marine). 3rd Generation.. Parris Island.. and yes.. it definitely changes a person.

I firmly believe that all Male member of the US should serve their country for 2 years. Would make a WORLD of difference.

I'm not adverse to having women do the same, but I'm not about to fight that battle!!

So.. I guess the horse thing is probably off.

W called and sounded upset.. she asked if I could get the Bridle that we showed our Mare in ready. Evidently MIL will be by tomorrow to get it.. there is a potential buyer for the Mare.

That was tough.. she said she did't want to talk and I didn't push. Probably came off as calous, but again.. not wanting to seem too available. This was her choice.. she is now having to deal with some of the negatives. I can't be her rock on this one.

Hey Jar...Ive been following your sitch. You are an inspiration to me. I think there should be more people like you in this crazy world. Keep up the hard work on your sitch, sooner or later she'll realize that you are the greener grass.

On another note, thanks for your service to our country, you guys never get enough credit.
