Divorce just about final ~ Lovingme

I am struggling today because my 12 year old wants to spend Thanksgiving with his Dad and his girflriend at her families a few hours away. They leave tomorrow and come back Friday. He asked me if he could and I couldn't say no but it hurts.

XH called me later and told me that he wasn't trying to start anything and he didn't bring it up at all but s12 asked him what he was doing and if he could go. He wasn't going to be mean and tell him know. He said he told him that the holidays are important to me but s12 still wants to go.

XH told me he would tell s12 he couldn't go if I wanted him too. But that isn't fair either. Either way s12 will be upset with one of us. It is only Thanksgiving and not Christmas. I need to just get over it. I Have cried alot today about it though.

Divorce sucks!

At least s8 wants to stay home. I am having all of my family here for dinner. I will be surrounded by people who love me and whom I love but I hate that s12 won't be here.
