As you become more detached, and you will, it will be easier to enforce your boundries without all of the emotional drama. Your W can still push your buttons because of your attachment to her. The more you build your own life, without her as a central player, the less her little games will affect you.
BTW, the thing about wednesday was chicken sh!t. If a 3 and a 5 year old miss a day of pre-school, it's no big deal. They're still at an age when they would rather spend the day with a parent. I understand why you chose not to die on that hill, but she was jerking you around.
Spiderman 3 was the worst of the 3. Going downhill...kinda like the Batman franchise.
