Since last post about a month ago W has rented a small house in town. Up until 3 days ago she has still not asked for any financial contribution from me even though it was offered. We have met fairly regularly and the meetings have always been cordial.On Wednesday of this week when I arrived home she was in the house getting a few of her ornaments she also asked for the cheque. She said she had paid her rent in advance from last months pay but was now running short. I have agreed to give her this on Sunday with a witness to a written statement of what we are agreeing on.She commented while she was here on a new cardigan I was wearing I said it was comfortable but that the sleeves were too long. She offered to shorten them And gave it back to me last night. I thanked her and said what agood job she had made.I also gave her a small silk plant as a "housewarming gift" She was delighted with this and actually gave me a kiss. This felt like a kiss of gratitude rather than affection. Am i seeing baby steps or is it guilt. She talks incessantly about her job and it seems that this is the most important thing in the world to her.However I have noticed that when she does this her guard drops and she becomes very agitated and nervous. It seems as though she regards her past life as over and she is trying to start again
