So.. been feeling a little under the weather today, so I took a nap. W called twice. One to remind me of flu shots tomorrow and to ask about CS.

The second she made a few comments like "Wow you are hard to get ahold of..and I wanted to make sure you got my earlier message"

2nd message was to remind me of the class tonight.

Next time she calls.. I'll answer.

D's are going to have a blast this weekend. All the leaves on the front tree have fallen off. We will be raking and jumpin on Saturday!!

Ahh, the leaves... that's still big bonding activity for me and the kids. Of course we're supposed to get snow on Sunday so our leaf jumping days may be over for the year.

W used to play in the leaves. She can't do that now though, the computer's mouse doesn't have a long enough cord...

So Darth Jarhead has been seen again.

W called and said "Well.. I see you don't like to answer or return my phone calls."

I told her I was busy. I think she heard the dishwasher in the bg, so she asked if I was working from home.. I said yes.

She says "So.. you're working from home and couldn't answer or call me back?"

No.. I was busy with work.. when I got your message, I figured you'd be at work. I got the message and it's all good.

I made sure she was going to bring the appropriate medicines over (D5 has Atopic Dermatitis) because we will be playing in the leaves. W asked for me to bring some leaves in for her class and I said "Sure"

Kept it very short.. nothing but the D's. I had a call come in while we were on and I asked her to hold on.. I can tell that bothered her.

Quick call, hopped back over.. quickly talked about other D stuff and said "I don't mean to be rude, but I had another work call roll in.. I've got to go.. I'll see you later"

We hung up.. again.. she was flustered.

She will be over to pick up D5 at 6, so I'm a little nervous about that. House has changed a little.. not as much as I'd like, but I have couches, place looks like a "family" home now and not a bachelor pad.

We have a family picture of us in the Family room. I've debated taking it down. I have pictures of the D's up, but the family picture kind of sticks out. I really need to get some pictures (art or otherwise) up in the room. Place looks empty.

Oh well.. hope you all are having a happy friday!!

I would take the family picture down and put one up of just you and the girls.

I wonder how the girls would interpret your taking down the picture? They are very young, and might not understand.

That's honestly the main reason I haven't done it.

I actually don't think they'd notice, since it is in a corner of the room.

I may "try" it this weekend and see how they react.

I will be giving W a box of stuff later this weekend. It will contain some things that I'm sure she will rethink about. Some pics of hers.

Hi Jh,

I would take it down also, if you don't have one of you and the girls, just put one up of them. As far as giving her stuff to her, don't have any emotion behind it, you know she will be looking for that to play on.

The girls should be ok with the picture thing.. make sure its a new picture of them and just say you want one up of them that is recent.

Yeah... I'll do that this weekend.

So.. W came over.. she sat out in the driveway for at least 5 minutes talking on the phone. Whatever.

Then.. D3 has an accident and I'm upstairs cleaning her up. W comes in complaining she has to go.. I simply said "Well.. you were out front on the phone for 5 minutes. You could've come in earlier." She said something about the phone ringing, and I said to tell them you'll call later.

I was on edge obviously, and she sensed it. She even mentioned that "Maybe daddy is in a bad mood" When asked, I said I was fine.

Then.. she sat in the floor as I'm cleaning D3 and proceeds to flip her hair and ask "Well.. what do you think?" I honestly couldn't tell what she was talking about. I said "You look OK."

That's when she made the "must be in a bad mood" comment.

She did look good, but I know it's not for me and could care less.

I pretty much rushed her out of the house.

Probably not a good ordeal overall, but she's gone now. She'll be back to drop D5 back off, so I'll be curious to see how long she stays. I'm sure she has plans this evening.

Your W is really starting to piss me off.. sorry Jar but what the he$$ is she looking for, for your to compliment her???? the one having the A.. Warped,warped,warped... that is the only way I can describe her personality..

I know your little girl was right there, but if she says anything like that again, I would just say, and be frank..it doesn't matter what I think, look at someone else for their opinion, im not in that place anymore. and that's that! Maybe then she'll get the hint!

I know it may be harsh, im just tired of her trying to be "cute" with you after what has happend!
