Hi w8ing- I know what you mean about your weekends without kids. My kids will be with their father for all but 2 days out of the next 9. I will be without them for the next three weekends...in fact, I will only have them one weekend between now and Christmas...and it is killing me. It worked out this way because it is my XH's Thanksgiving with the kids and then I had to trade this Christmas for next Christmas because of an extended family trip leaving new year's day.
I have been trying to figure out some things to keep myself busy, but my plans seem to keep getting canceled. So, I have to regroup and figure out new plans. Anyway, use your weekend to get ready for the holidays...start your Christmas shopping, do some baking, do some volunteering, etc...or you could just hop on a plane to CA ...
