She feels her power over you fading and is trying to re-assert it. Do not give in to the dark side! She is not entitled to any details of your social life except as it might affect your daughters.
Playing games with her just lets her know that you are still interested--telling her that your friend is blonde. If she is so interested in your life, maybe she should give up OM and get to know you a little better.
This is all about power and her feeling secure. If you are still in the wings, she feels that she has a "fall back" position. If you move on, then she is on her own with nobody to bail her out if she fails.
