Interesting. Was this a new thing for her? Would it have been a new thing for you to leave? I'm thinking about the old space issue, and her never really having gotten much of that from you. Sounds like she initiated, though.

Oh boy. This stuff is so loaded. I hope everything goes well. I agree with you: the kids should definitely have a say in what they're doing. I have to admit, though, that I'm afraid when we tell the kids and I'm leaving to do something, they'll want me to stay. Not sure what I plan to do about that, if it arises.
