I'm grateful that my bf stuck by my side last night when I was at the ER for a broken ankle. I slipped off a curb and definitely heard a crack when I went down. Some nice people nearby came and brought me ice and a pillow and a blanket while I called bf on his cell phone. That was at 5 pm. We went to one ER, but the wait was nine hours, so we went elsewhere and I got seen pretty soon. The ankle was broken in two places and also dislocated. They gave me happy juice while they re-located it (or whatever you call it) and put it in a splint. Have to go to an orthopedist tomorrow, as it may need surgery. He stuck to me like glue. Since his LL is Acts of Service, helping me through this gives him a chance to express his feelings in a way that suits him very well.
If anyone has any comments, I'd appreciate the "miraculously speedy recovery" anecdotes and not the "her ankle was never right again" anecdotes, okay?
