I gotta list of lighter ones as well. Have you tried Angry Houswives eating Bon Bons which I think is by Lorna Landvik and her others are really good. i also like fannie flagg's books and Laurie Graham's books. - The future home makers of America was good along with most of her/his other books. Islar Dewar is very good aswell. her first novel - Keeping up with Magda is an absolute scream anf then there are the JJasper FForde Thursday next series which are pure flights of fantasy and really surreal and funny. the first one is called The Eyre Affair. I don't often laugh out loud at a book but that one made me. Even the names in it are hilarious.
