Not in the same sitch, but suggest that you are polite (can see that you are), short convo's about the Ds and nothing else. Then kick 7 shades of hell out of a pillow. IMHO
At the moment, she is convincing herself that you are fine with the arrangements. Stick to your guns, if she is meant to be looking after the Ds...then she does - not fall back to you to bail her out.
