Mark... I believe that's part of it. Someone else on here was talking about how the first time their WAW found out he was dating they talked like school girls about it. After some time, he found the next date was not so well received.
I think it all depends on the situation/timing. I'd revel in the fact that at least she's thinking someone else could be interested in you.
At least take solace in the fact that after this long of her torturing you.. you at least have a few moments of revenge.
