Hi Jackie - The Mt. Whitney climb is set for May 29 - June 1. There should still be some snow on the headwall then so there will be a stretch with ice axes and crampons, which I still have to learn to use! We have invited my H's uncle (just a few years older than I am, and a really nice guy) to join us. Not sure who the fourth spot on the permit will go to - we have a couple candidates. Was looking at the trail map with my H in bed last night
