mark - I've never posted on your thread, I'm pretty new here - trying to read all that I can. All I can really say is it sounds like you are confident with your decision and have went through he** to get here. Although not the usual focus of this board, it is honestly refreshing to hear your positive outlook on it all, and to see you putting Number One (number one right after your children, of course) at the top. It *has* to be almost a relief to get to this point. Good luck with it all, it sounds like to me you are, and will be, fine. B
Thanks B. I have been there and back. I started DBing in May. Stumbled in June, lost my confidence in July, and slid back in August. Once September rolled around, I guess I finally "got it." Actually, I got fed up with being walked on and treated with utter disrespect. I dug deep in my GAL's, started hitting the gym (ran 7 miles today and didn't even lose my wind). I look much better, my gait is confident and I am ready to take on any challenge. Including divorce.
What I am trying to say is that this stuff takes time, and you (and others) need to go at your own pace. Read what others are saying and experiencing.
And you said I am "confident with my decision." It's not really my decision. It was her decision to abandon the marriage. My decision was only to stop focusing on "winning her back," but instead focus on me and the kids.

Hi B! Welcome! I hope that, as you continue reading on the boards, you come to realize that looking after yourself really IS the focus of DBing. That's certainly what I and many other "success story" folks believe.

Thanks for visiting and posting.
Mark, I think you are at the point of detaching - and that's a good place to be. Is it the end of your feelings for your W? I don't know - sometimes you need to get some distance before you can even know yourself. For now, I encourage you to do what you are doing, and keep being patient - for yourself, if not for The Crazy Lady In Your Life.
Keep focusing on you, that's what will get you there. And while you do, know that I and other folks around here will be cheering for you AND hoping for the best for your M.
