I wonder if he thinks you can legally do something with your home (even though he is giving it to you, right?) if he 'abandoned' the home to live with another woman? I just don't know. I am assuming he doesn't want it to be 'real', something concrete. This is fantasyland and his wife knowing where his (barf) lover lives isn't very fun.

the house isn't mine and I'm not sure i want it. he wants me to be able to stay in the house, the thing is, he wants to take the pension money for himself to make up for the money in the house he'd lose out on. the thing is, I'm afraid in this market I'd end up with the worse end of the deal...we only bought this house 2 years ago next month. for all I know we've lost a lot of what we put into it.

saffie, have you ever watched, Cold Feet? I've been watching it and got to the part where one of the characters h's is having an affair. she found out and went over to ow's house (while her h was there) and handed ow the screaming baby and said, here, see how you like it.
the ow's face is priceless. of course, nobody would actually walk away from their 1 year old. but oh, how lovely it was to see her with the screaming baby.
can't wait to get the next disc from netflix to see how it plays out.
as for men, I would love to see who did approach us...and who would be able to stay with us. the db men would definitely be able to. would other men? wow, they would have to be on-the-ball, that's for sure.
