I was told by a friend of mine who is a RN who cares for terminal or end of life patients that very often a patient is given ADs not only to help ease the emotional stress but to also help increase their appetite, because in many cases, the patient has lost their desire to eat.
I have had several friends who have complained that their do become more hungry while on ADs.
I'm sure as with all situations, there are many people who have had an opposite experience too. I guess it really depends on the person.
