When someone we love and trust decides that they no longer want to play by the rules and they decide that we no longer are a part of their lives, we have to get strong.
When kids are involved we have to be even stronger.
When things get ugly we need to get into survival mode.
That is what you are doing.
You are protecting your children, you are doing what is best for them.
Just look at the man you have become.
Yes, it hurts, none of this should ever have happened, but your kids will thank you for keeping them safe and for doing the right thing by them.
