Thanks for the posts and support - When you deal with this alone, it seems so surreal. You lose sight of what is normal.
Yes, it does take a special kind of person to send you nasty things on postcards. He takes it all so seriously. To me it is more like a naughty little boy running in and sticking his tongue out, and running away again. All to get attention . . .
He wrote [apparently] a rather portentious email to his sons recently that their cousin was going out to a well known war zone on assignment, and 'they probably didn't know this'.
Son 2 did reply saying that it wasn't generally known, certainly shouldn't be publicly circulated, and that he had known about it for months! H doesn't seem to realise that their life is going on witout him, that they are closer to their cousin than he is [on his side] . . . It is like he occasionally wakes up and notices the outside world, then tells everyone else about it, in a 'look at me' moment.
