I think you did great!! Dog thing was just to get your goat. Does she know how much you dislike the lab? If so, then it's absolutely just to tick you off.
Not sure what to say there because that is a very dangerous chess move. To make you the bad guy is wrong. My W does that with me and it sucks.
I don't hate the dog. I travel a lot, and the dog is very protective. So she does serve that purpose. Wife does know that I would NOT approve of an additional dog.
Agree that she is trying to get my goat (or as Saffie put it, pushing the boat out to wind me up).
Wow, Mark, you handled that money incident like an absolute DB Master!!! I am totally impressed - way to go.
You know, in hindsight the way I handled the money was not so much DBing as it was a reflection on how damn tired I am of all of the misery and pain that she has brought to my life. I never thought to myself, "how would my DB Coach (or Rob) handle this?" My reaction was an instictive response of sheer exhaustion and exasperation.
I am sick and tired of being treated as disrespectfully as she treats me. It's just wearing thin on me, that's all. I am feeling the need to move on with my life. I deserve so much better than she is willing to give me.
I know exactly how you feel. Those are things I say to keep my PMA up. That's when you know things are working.. when it becomes instinct. The changes are happening and they are sticking.
