She was taken off-guard when I gave her all of the money - not much, about $300. I am laughing about it now in hindsight. So, because I took the wind out of her sails, she had to "brew up" another fight about money... hence the chase-down and accusation of early morning chatting...
Morgan, it's not easy. I just keep telling myself that it's just not worth the effort. I can invest my energy any way that I want, and there are better uses of my time, emotions and brain power than a fight with her.
Its so funny how predictable our spouses can be, huh? She was like a little kid, tried one method to stir the pot, then tried something else when that didn't work. Glad you can smile about it.

Without warning, wife just left to take #2 & #3 to see a puppy. We have one dog already. The one we have is very annoying, barking all the time, scratching up doors, and puking on the carpet at (seemingly) every opportunity.
I had no idea she was in the market for a dog. We have never discussed it. She just loaded the kids, smiled at me, and left.
OK, so how do I handle this one? On the one hand, I could just agree to go along with it. Reduce conflict. On the other hand, I really don't want one dog in my house. I really, really don't want two dogs in my house.
This is very confusing, as it strikes me that a person seeking a divorce should not be out searching for a dog. They should be in the process of simplifying their life, not complicating it.
Sounds like she is pushing the boat out to wind you up!!! Do you do any of the caring for dog no 1? If you do just withdraw your doggie services. Jeeze, she's a piece of work!! I thought I could push my H's buttons but your W has been taking classes.
Mark I am so sorry - she so much wants a fight. Draw a bit breath and wait - she may be bluffing. What sort have dog have you got and what is she going to see?
