Yes, as everyone says, another great thread. Didn't want to hijack darboyd's thread, but wanted to tell you that I think you and I share an affinity for overpriced clothes and shoes! (My latest passion: Christian Louboutins...)
I've always been very careful with my money and have been very good at saving, especially post-bomb. But I took some advice from my mom who told me not to be so frugal all the time - to spend money on myself once in a while instead of just the kids. So instead of just saving for my unknown future, I set some money aside for myself and then go blow it all on some ridiculously priced shoes that make me look and feel totally fabulous. Oh-so-worth every penny... Like you, the MLC diet got me back to my pre-pregnancy body (even better actually) - never thought I'd ever feel comfortable in a bikini again.
I guess that's my version of learning to play again.
Oh yeah - and going to concerts too. All of my friends are married with young children and are not in to music as much as I am. So I take my S5 and borrow some nieces and nephews whenever a good concert comes to town (hardly ever). Going tomorrow night and can't wait!
