Not really engaging W at all. Feeling pretty detached.

This sounds really good, Heim, really, really good.

Only allow myself the occasional adult beverage as I try to drop some more tonnage. I'll bring a few on the ski trip and you can judge for yourself. I wouldn't say I look fetching in them, but a few friends have said they fit my personality.

Took me a second to figure out you weren't talking about the mead here (after the first sentence).

I know what you mean about the TV. That's the way of all things, isn't it? I agree with you: NFL in high-def = absolute good. Books = absolute good. I started a new Julian Barnes book last night---I love his wit---but this one's about an Eastern European dictator after the fall of the wall. Not as fun as I'd hoped.

Glad to hear it. I'm impressed you guys can even function on three hours' sleep. Those days are so over for me.

May not be true for you, but is not at all unlikely, so don't be naive about the possibility.

That's exactly what I'm going for---no surprise. I think I'll just bear in mind that now that H and I are on the same page, and especially since I told him I'd rather not be kept abreast of his dating activities, he probably feels free to do as he chooses. And he is.

This is a TREMENDOUS pearl of wisdom. We would all do well to understand and apply this.

Hey, I think when my brain starts going there, I'm going to pull what GD did to sop on his last posts:

Geez CVA!!! You're making ME look like a STALKER now. And unfairly I might add. P, your name/thread came up briefly, along with several other DBers, while we were waiting for more service at the bar. I think I said something along the lines of your H has his head up his a$$.
