You're absolutely right about not overthinking it. Heck, it is the most logical and convenient place to go. W may likely see it as an obvious attempt to push her buttons, make her jealous, etc, even though that would be a side effect and not the initial intention of being there. If she does, oh well -- can't help what she thinks, perceives, etc
I'm on board with you exploring this tunnel as well, & think it will prolly, as you say, "make her curious and likely get her contemplating her choices -- maybe."
