I guess he found somewhere to ditch the kid for awhile,lol.

Yeah, since he's retired and I'm self-employed we can get together while the kids are at school. We amuse ourselves by acting like teenagers playing hooky. I think the level on which we are well-suited is that we "play" well together.

First he's bossy and then trying to tell you what think as well.

LOL- Well, he made up for it by serenading me over the phone with a Barry White number later in the evening. Actaully, he can be kind of bossy at times. I think that is because his father was some sort of first-African-American-man-to-achieve-certain-rank-in-the-marines. When GP was a teenager, his father gave him and his brother a talk along the lines of "Boys, I consider it a good thing that you are bringing girls home because that shows that you are not gay. However, we need to get one thing clear. There is one person and only one person who f*cks in this house. Who do you think that person would be? (pause for required response of "Umm..you Dad" from both boys) That's right. Now, I KNOW you won't forget that."

When his sister came home 10 minutes past her 2:00 curfew one morning, his Dad ran out of the house and stopped her date before he could pull out and dragged him into the house. He then told him "Are you aware that you kept my daughter out past her curfew? Now, you and I both know that there is only one thing that is open past 2 in the morning. That means that my daughter is now officially your responsibility. Please take her with you. You can bring her back around 9 am. Any earlier wouldn't be a proper hour for visiting."
