They actually freaked out on me today & almost canceled my surgery. Hopefully it won't be canceled & I took care of everything. I have a spot on one of my lungs. My primary doc found it about June of '06. Had a biopsy done, no cancer, but I still get follow up CT's every 3 - 6 months to make sure the spot doesn't get any bigger.
Well, they did a chest x-ray at my preop the other day and I told the girl about the spot, nothing to worry about. Well, she obviously didn't share this w/ my doc & his office -- they were in an uproar today thinking they had discovered something new. I got my med recs for them from the last CT done that says "no change" and hopefully my doc will fax something over there just saying I'm ok for surgery and all will go as planned. Always something!!!

I'm already on them now. I don't know how long after the surgery I will need to be on them. I already know I'm going to have a tough time when I have to quit taking them!

I do smoke. I've quit off & on -- obviously back when I found out I had the spot on my lung!! Actually one of the bones of contention between H & I. At the time I was going through that -- thinking I may have lung cancer -- he never did even try to quit and didn't seem very compationate. Think he was probably thinking about 'other things' back then & I just didn't know it.
When the whole D bomb came down, he was still smoking & I started again. I plan on quitting again, just don't know when . . .

Well, called OB's office this a.m. and, as far as they are concerned, surgery's still on. Hope that doesn't change at the last minute! I want to just get this over & done with.
