Hi all. Had a fantastic time in Tucson. The show was awesome, and occurred during the city's "Club Crawl", so we spent the time before the band started (11pm! yikes...that's 1am KC time) enjoying the different venues. Had lunch on Saturday with my ex-girlfriend from high school -- don't you worry, my wife knew all about it. Plus, she's a lesbian now, anyway, and no, I had NOTHING to do with that. It was great seeing her and the three of us (me, her, and the friend I was staying with) hung out for awhile and did the whole high school reminiscing thing.

Went to the Pima Air and Space Museum on Sunday and topped off the ol' testosterone tank. This was something that I likely would never do on a vacation with MsHdog, but really enjoyed it with my ol' buddy. We had a great time walking around the old planes on the tarmac and saw the SR-71 Blackbird and some other awesome craft in the hangars. We amused a couple of old war veterans with our immature banter, e.g.:
Vet: This jet was designed to avoid the problem presented by bomb bay doors slowing down the plane after the dropping of the nuclear payload. It ejected its payload out of the back, at the base of the tail.
Hdog: Oh...like a turd?
Vet: Uh, yes. Like a turd.
Buddy: Whoa...now there's some powerful sh!t.

Comedy gold. The vet was still chuckling as we ambled off.

MsHdog's reaction to the trip was unwaveringly positive. Our telephone conversations were upbeat and lively. Upon my return, she seemed genuinely glad to see me.

Somewhere, there is a lesson or two to be learned in this.
