I wonder if they ever realise how dishonest they are being? If not now, in time to come.

And I wonder if the lying continues after reconciling, because they have been conditioned to doing it so well and so easily, that it may become the Norm for them in the future.

That is something that scares me to death. I think if it actually did work out for us, would there be a repeat in the future. My DD 19 has even told me that she really doesn't want us to get back together because she is so afraid he would do this again to me. She said she couldn't bear to see me go through the pain again.
