I think that's a good point about taking care of your spouse. I think that's important regardless of where a marriage is. If you think about it logically being generous and giving love has the best chance of keeping a marriage together. Also, do you ever actually lose anything by being generous and giving love? Even if a marriage fails, at least you know you've done your best, and the chance of a spouse finding anyone who can provide what you've given (along with a rich history together, and kids!!!) is extremely remote.

There is no arriving, ever. It is all a continual becoming.
