You think? Guilt is a strong emotion and so is trying to put a front on things. Surely NOT throwing you the parties would have been worse?

I totally agree that you should treat each other well but that cuts both ways Theo. You can't tell someone you don't want to be around them and then expect them to big you up and put themselves out for you.

I believe she USED to be a gem. But we don't know her, we don't know her side of things. We know your side and we hurt for you NOT her.

I don't agree with your pastor - friends can throw you a big party - I just don't know if your wife's new friends are too wrapped up in themselves to throw someone else a party.

How are the kids taking it? did they find her not having a party unusual. I am afraid that's more what I would worry about as opposed to your wife's feelings.

Congratulations on the job offer - it's always easier to find another job once you have one. Is this one fixed contract or permanent?
