Why do you think you need some sort of special adaptation?

My perceived difference was that most of what I've read about from y'all relates more to a sitch where there is either a physical separation or active movement by the WAS toward S or D. That's not what i've got going on here...No R talk since mid-June; instead, we are stressing over getting our kitchen remodeled!
