That's not pathetic at all. When we were really troubled and H was away on business I used to take his one of his T shirts out of the linen pile and sleep with it. I still curl up with his pillow if I am feeling sad in the afternoon and want a snooze.
Saffie....I was just going to say the same thing. I went to my parents home over the weekend and I took one of H's shirts with to sleep in so I could feel at least the smallest amount of connection to him.
The other pathetic thing I do when he's gone out is to smell his shirts or look them over. Do they smell of perfume?.....Do I see unfamiliar hair?? Sounds really bad, but my H had a previous A and I would find OW's long, curly hair on his clothes. Mine was not long and not curly! Made me sick!

Hi Sue, You have got to stop doing that! You are only torturing yourself. I think it would also be considered pursuing. I know it's hard believe me. One of the problems my H has with me is that he feels I am always checking on him which he is right. Of course, he's given me reason but it still has to stop. I have stopped, no more. I realize I can't do anything about his behavior, nor can I control him nor is my "knowing" going to make any difference. Remember, we can only control and change ourselves.

I sure hope that didn't sound harsh. My apologies if it did. I know how hard it is to not look. I feel much better since deciding to not check on him anymore.

saffie, same here!! I was BLOWN away about H's A, when he confessed. And in the aftermath, I realized there was a ton of signs, I just didn't see them for whatever reason.
