That's funny. I didn't expect this to blow up so much. Especially with taking antibiotics right away. But apparently cat bites are very dirty. I keep hoping it will look better by tomorrow.
Yeah, my daughter had cat scratch fever when she was young. They said, "well either it's a really bad cancer, or it's cat scratch fever and no big deal." So we were thrilled when the results came back cat scratch fever.
I just finished reading State of Fear by Michael Crichton. In the book he shows how violent nature is, and how humans romanticize it and say "oh, everything should be natural". But it isn't true.
He points out the folly of the Hollywood types who live an extravagant lifestyle and extol the virtues of subsistence living for the rest of the world. And he de-bunks the myth of global warming or dramatic climate change attributable to human intervention.
Well, most in the hart land here take Hollywood with a grain of salt anyway. We separate our politics from our entertainment although they do resemble one another at times.
Global warming is a touchy subject for some. Not that it is occurring, because it is, but what causes it.
"It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare." -Mark Twain
Well, the book contains tons of referenced data to show there is not a global warming phenomenon, only a local one in certain places. It's a very different book because it combines info you'd find in scientific journal articles with an adventure novel that reads like a screenplay. He also wrote Jurassic Park. I guess this will probably be made into a movie too.
