CVA - Desperate Housewives

Over lunch I sort of came to the following conclusion:

If I approach getting my own place by saying "I am looking at a couple of places that if I can fix up, we can make some money on....basically buy and flip idea...that gives me (i) someplace to spend my time other than at our house (ii) I like doing stuff like this (iii) allows me to put it as a joint decision rather than a final..."this is what I need now" kind of thing.

There are 2 houses I am looking at that fall in this category. I have actually floated this concept with no real negative reaction on the monetary front from W although I suspect she now knows I am thinking about more permanent digs.

Good time to buy too, lots of foreclosures, interest rates down etc.
