Nothing bad with H at all. Things are good there. In fact, when I got home today, he gave me several hugs because I had the cr@ppiest day...spoke to my LL.
No, my crappy day was the parent who insisted on yelling at me in our workroom this morning 2-minutes before I was due to be with my students. She ripped me a new one...big time. Didn't want to hear the truth, just made a bunch of assumptions and said all sorts of horrible things to me.
I kept it together in front of her, Thank God, but I had to find someone to watch my class because I was so upset. I have no issue with having a conversation with a parent about any problem they may have with me, but it's not okay for parents to be disrespectful like that.
The parents at our school are out of control this year. Several other of my colleagues have been jumped on and harrassed as well.
Know why good teachers leave? Not because of salary. Because of BS like this.
