In this case it's between wife and me. Really. The way to check is to replace the me (or I) with a him or he and then you know which to use.

IC, it's "I" when it's the subject of the sentence, and "me" when it's the object of the sentence (the thing that is DONE TO-- and I know you know what THAT means :rolleyes:) OR the object of a preposition (if it helps, think of it as the object of a PROposition). Sex and grammar. Star Trek and relationships. Works for me.

There's a commercial on tv where the speaker says something along the lines of "if you need help with xxx, call Fred and I". Drives me batty.
