The thing is I really did get the sense that some of those doormen seemed to switch their allegiance to me awfully easily. Not that they ever condoned my H's affair or even knew about it. They just seemed to be very protective of me and my mom saying I would not have to worry about H ever coming into my work on their watch. Weird.
