just an update to say that xh and i were supposed to be in court tomorrow, this time it is me that is filing against him under the children's act, on the grounds that he shouldn't put his child out on the streets and that he should have been paying support to his child. well my solicitor called me yesterday and said it has been withdrawn from court for two weeks as apparently xh's solicitor didn't receive the papers in time to serve xh before going to court. I think they are just pulling strings in the hope that I will accept his offer and then I can't put my case in, one thing that will happen is if my case goes in before the next hearing for his case, his case gets put on hold until mine is sorted. Also my barrister has said she could tell that xh wasn't happy the way the hearing went last time and it now appears that he doesn't want to go back to the courts, ie that is why he is offering a lump sum. I don't really know what to think, he set the ball rolling with the courts and now he wants to settle out of court, I still have nowhere to move to and it is all getting to be a bit of a pain right now, all we want to do that is son and I is move out and move on, why can't he see that and stop messing about with the courts. I know for a fact and so does my solicitor that the papers were served in the time limit stated.
