Then say "I don't carry my cellphone with me all the time, or I wasn't at home". Regardless, if you feel like I'm 'avoiding you' then maybe you should look at why you feel that way just because I wasn't available at your command.
Like Yoyowife said " Be pleasant just with her like you would with a co-worker or neighbor."
Or any other human being.
