Which is what everyone at this stage should be doing. Why do you give her/him so much POWER?

mcojh, theo, You are giving her too much power.

When she says 'blah blah why couldn't you blah blah'

you say 'because the environment i was in, with you as a 'victim' and as a 'needy person' and me as an 'enabler' with no 'self esteem' didn't allow for that. Now I've learned 'self esteem' again, and you're not my enabler and I'm not yours. I'ts a much better place to be and if you want to come along for the ride then please DO.

If you do or don't, I'm in it for the future and for the excitement. But I'm tellin ya, it's gonna be fun.....

'nuff said.

Frank-

With all the other posts that got here I am confused by your comments. Are you referring to me giving her to much power or Theo?

OK, here is a riddle.

S16 and I are going to a ball game this afternoon. When S6 and I got home from a movie last night I called HIM to let him know when I would pick him up. They weren't home (thankfully)so I left the following message:

Hi S16, I will pick you up for the game tomorrow between 1130 and 1145. I will call you when I am close so you can come out. (He will be home alone).

Anyway, I thought that was pretty well self explanatory.

About 25 minutes later, CW called. She was calling to let me know they got the message. She then went on to recount their entire evening. I obliged and told her what we had done.

So here is the riddle.....WTF is this about? Sorry, just venting.

It's all about her.

And yes, the previous post was aimed at you and theoden. He's taking his power back. You should too.

By no longer making decisions based on what she says or does. By no longer giving her the impression that he will 'always be there'. By GAL. By letting her have to deal with him as a person who isn't going to do whatever she wants whenever she asks for something.

By letting her go.

I am so glad to hear that. Theo is far too kind for his own good.

Well Frank, I think I started that today.

CW took S6 to the new church we have been attending. When it came time for Sunday School, he refused to go and threw a fit. She allowed it.

Earlier, she had taken S16 to the old church because he was playing in the orchestra. When I talked to her after, she described how she got such a "warm reception" from the people who haven't seen her in a while. She was dead set on switching churches just a week ago. It is beyond belief how the pastor at this church takes absolutley no ownerrship in the fact that she is commiting adultery. He continues to allow her to take communion.

Anyway, after S16 and I got done with the ball game, I called her and talked to S6, telling him when we would be there. 2 minutes later, she called back, confirming what I had just told him. I was short with her, politely though.

When we got to her place, I went to the door and we chatted as they got ready. She got mad at me when I walked to the truck without saying goodbye. (S6 was having a meltdown and I wasn't about to help.)

We left and as we were loading up, she brought up Sunday School again, saying that she wanted S6 to go to SSchool back at the old chiurch. I simply replied, "whatever, you were the one that was so set on switching." I then added, "you were also the one who was set on switching churches." I then walked away. I got a couple blocks away and realized that we forgot something. I called her and went back to get it. She gave it to us and I thanked her. As we were driving home, she called and started sort of chewing me out for having the church discussion in front of S16. I pointed out that I didn't start the conversation. She didn't say anything, so I said good bye and hung up.
