How cool! I think that was a very sweet gesture to do. I am almost certain that all of it wasn't planned by the girls. I think your husband was thinking of you for sure and wanted to make your day special. : )

lwb, your post made me tear up. I can just picture how happy that made you. very, very sweet. and even if it doesn't mean everything from your H, it does mean something...it means he's not a complete jerk, at least. wow. very, very nice.

Great story.... I imagine that you were very happy.

Although it's dangerous to read too much into what your husband did, I will tell you that my July birthday was a huge disappointment for me. Wife put very little effort forth: two cheap presents, no cake, no special dinner, etc.

He's being very careful here...

h didn't do anything really for my b-day, either. my 40th was this year...big birthday. I ended up taking myself to florida to spend it with a friend. I got nothing from him. he did send flowers from himself and the kids, but that was it. not even a card. in fact, he spent my birthday with OW at some kick-off party.

ouch.

LWB,
Awww...I'm so glad that he did that for you and the girls. It will be a treasured memory for you and the girls. Simply take it as a thoughtful gesture from your husband.

Yoyo

Thanks everyone!! It really did mean a lot but not a lot at the same time. I didn't expect anything, so it was nice. It was also nice because I didn't see the girls all day (went out after work and they are now asleep), so it made me feel better about going out.

Saw a movie with my friends and then slowly made my way home, stopping and doing some errands. H just went running. He also bought my favorite cookies and put them on the desk for me. I see 3 wrapped gifts on the table as well. Hmm, buttered popcorn for dinner, cookie cake, and now cookies. Might have to run a bit more this week.

Kali, Love Must Be Tough! I knew there was another book I wanted to get. Thanks.

Hope everyone is well tonight.

My kind of dinner! There had to be chocolate in there somewhere!

Fine, what are you, the Snack Police??? I shared my popcorn with my friend, and in turn I received some Whoppers and Junior Mints. There, that's my confession for the night.

Yum...salty,sweet,and chocolate. Yep, that covers all the major food groups. Throw a diet soda in there and it cancels out all the calories!
