okay, totally off topic, but since you brought british sayings up, you have to tell me if this is true. my brit friend (lives here) swears there is a saying, "time to send the children up the chimney" or something like that. not sure if that is a regional expression, but omg, it kills me. I watch a lot of british tv, feel like I have a pretty good understanding of a good deal of british slang/coloquialisms, but that one is a first for me.
