A woman loves a man with an accent. Anything that is different from her own. I'm from the south, so anything that doesn't make one syllable words sound like two syllables is an accent to me, LOL.
Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they're supposed to help you discover who you are. -- Bernice Johnson Reagon
yeah, women, at least american women, do tend to love a man with an accent. well, most accents. not a fan of a boston one myself...although I did marry a man with one.
still crack up at the scene in Love Actually when the brit heads to america because he knows he can score, since the women will love his sexy accent. lol.

No, not really. The closest I've got is a pair of shorts in the family hunting tartan (only now I am too thin to wear them!)
But since there seems to be a lot of interest, I guess the next time I go to the Highland Games, I'll have to consider placing an order with one of the merchants.
Actually, I'm half Scots too. Me mother's family is Findley/Farquaharson, clann Chattan -- huge family here in the States and that I have always been closest to growing up. My father's family is british -- northern shires/borderlands mostly.
Sounds like your wife is struggling in your presence. Good job my man. Keep up the great work and keep looking after yourself, you are an "investment" now, so keep yourself in tip top shape
Also, stuff the kilt or tartan shorts, I reckon you should just get around wearing a sporran, that will get the women in a frenzy...............
Hope,
It just seems to be such a common theme with most of our sitches, the avoidance of our S's. I just think that they are all in denial, some will actually snap out of it and make an effort to reconcile, whilst others are just too bloody stubborn and would rather live with regret than concede that they may have been wrong.
Your XH sounds like he falls in the category of "Stubborn B*stard"
I think in the long run, with time, you will realise that this has been a positive outcome for you. It may not appear so now, but give it time.
Saffie,
You will have to switch allegiances and support the Wallabies before I even consider your mock advances But thank you for boosting my PMA
I went out last night, had a great dinner with friends, then a pub crawl around the inner city.
Went out with DD for breakfast. Built a Bear (at the "Build a Bear" shop), took like forever, but DD was excited. Home now for a few hours, then DD and I are going out for dinner (Sushi) then going to watch a movie. It was a bit too cold to go to the beach today. For a 7 year old, she is so much fun to spend time with, and is never short of a conversation.
Tomorrow I am going to visit my family (dads in hospital, problem with his heart), so DD is excited (she is the only kid I know that enjoys going to Hospitals). No probs, just a precaution for dad.
Have only seen W for around 30 minutes over the last week. Funny thing is, I feel better when I don't see her, sort of "out of sight, out of mind".
I hope everyone is having a really good weekend, and look forward to a better week ahead.
