Amen to that, MK.

I'm drinking a glass right now (well a quarter of a glass)

mk, I have never been to wine country, well, not up north (grew up in santa barbara, so there are some grapes around there and just north). you make it sound gorgeous, will have to put it on my places to visit. honestly, it was one of the places I tossed around for our 10th anniversary. ahhh, well, it will be there for another occasion.

you make it sound so beautiful...great descriptions, I have the perfect vision of the area this time of year. I know we've talked about it before, and as many memories as you share with H about your favorite area, don't let his choices ruin it for you. try to hold on to the beauty for yourself, too.

as for me, well, I am having sinus issues. not prone to that, any time I've had any kind of sinus pain a hot washcoth over my face took care of it. I've been up since 6am with a multitude of them and they have done not one thing. just dropped S5 off at school and instead of my normal trek to the gym, I went to cvs to buy meds. hopefully they kick in soon, or I will seriously do myself damage if only to stop the pain. one good thing, I suppose, is my face hurts so much I don't give a flying frig about H.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well, Morgan. If this is allergy related, you may want to try stinging nettle tea. Nettle is a natural anti-inflamatory and will reduce discomfort. I have seasonal allergies regularly, and nettle is a lifesaver (I hate meds).

Hope you feel better soon

Is CVS an east coast thing? Do we have that? We have Walgreens, Longs, and we used to have Rite Aid and Thrifty's but they got bought out.

Off Subject:

Do you have taco places back east? We have Jimboys, Taco Bell, Chevy's, Del Taco and Chili's for chain restaraunts. Guess I am hungry.

re: ten year. I wanted Hawaii or Disney Cruise. We went to Kauai on our honeymoon and I can't believe how time flies. We have never had the money to go back since. His parents sent us ten years ago. I think we stoped celebrating our anniversaries after our kids came so it has been maybe 4 years since we did anything.

I know your H makes good money, but mine never has. He mentioned that as one of the reasons why our R did not work, because he could not give me what I wanted. Which in MLC code means "I am insecure because I cannot provide for my family so I will sleep in my car and date someone even more poor and live with a travelling circus of freaks and geeks."

thanks, neph, appreciate the tea advice and good wishes.

mk, yep, cvs is an east coast thing. I remember longs and thrifty when I lived in CA...we used to get ice cream cones at thrifty. those were the days, 2 scoops (cylindrical ones) for $.30 I think. lol. we do have taco bell (ewww), chevy's, and chilis. omg, haven't heard del taco in years.

I think the funniest thing I discovered when I moved east is that some products had different names depending on if they were west or east of the mississippi. remember the old, "bring out the best foods, and bring out the best" ads? when I moved east it was "bring out the hellman's and bring out the best." for some reason that one sticks out in my mind because the commercial was the exact same, but the name was different.

anyway, I had hoped for england for our 10th, either london/paris or england/english countryside (hadn't decided). then when exchange rates got so bad, we decided to put that off. debated between wine country or the islands. finally chose a really beautiful all inclusive resort down in mexico and were just about to settle on it when the bomb hit. yeah, that changed things.

so instead, my 10th will be spent w/o my h, but will concentrate on my kids, the blessings that came out of my marriage. they will have school that morning, then plan to take them someplace fun, very fall-like. I plan to be dark as night to H that day, I don't even want to hear his voice. need to work on S5 about how to answer the phone and let his brother/sister talk, then hang up. I've got a month (october 18) till I have to really deal with it, but I know in my heart I just can't hear from him that day, not as things are now. I wonder if he'll even notice the date.

mine does make decent money, but he is a spender, he spends, spends, spends. he has met every amount he has ever made. I'm more conservative. probably meeting in the middle would be an ideal. it was something we should have talked more about.

today was okay. I definitely look like a troll...a troll named rudolph. but at least my face doesn't hurt as much, thanks to the meds. D3 had dance today, omg, so sweet, I can't stand it its all just so cute. again, I am blessed that at least for now, I can do these things with her. S5 had homework for the first time, very cute, had to count a bunch of stuff in and around the house...the number of trees in the yard, number of bathtubs in the house, number of smoke detectors (liked that one). the thing that made me sad was the number of toothbrushes. yep, one missing. but hey, I'm proud of my little family, with or without H.

not much else accomplished today. played outside for a bit, but really, I have had no energy and feel like a slug. I also haven't worked out since friday and definitely feel slug-like. as long as this doesn't travel to my chest, I'm doing something tomorrow, I have to.

D3 in dance class... SIGH...today my D3 appeared with a too small leotard on, undies hanging out the back, and my high heel boots on...saying "Yadies and gen-man....presenting.......me!" \:\)

lwb, that is one of the cutest things I've ever heard. lol. my therapist is forever saying that 3 year olds especially know (and like) exactly who they are, and we as adults need to get a bit of that back...so easy to lose along the way.

also, reminds me one of the things I'm going to buy is a new camcorder. mine died just after easter, and I need to get to costco and get a new one so moments like that are preserved...love to look back at them.

hope you are doing okay

lwb--too cute :0)

Morgan--just be sure you don't have a sinus infection. Not fun...our doc told us to use saline spray to loosen things up. You can use it as often as you want. Hope you feel better soon.

I am happy to have my kids in my life, too...they really are the reason I am still on the planet. I am grateful for them every day.

thanks, donna. everyone is scaring me about the sinus infection stuff. I've never had one...I had them inflammed where a hot washcloth was all I needed, but never to the point that I needed a doctor. hoping it doesn't go that route. will check out the saline spray tomorrow if needed.

every day I drop my eldest off at kindergarten and watch him run thru the doors with his backpack on and I just swell with happiness...the joy of being his mom, of being able to spend time with him, with being a part of his life. for some reason it just really hits me then. same with the twins at different parts of their day. I'm lucky, blessed. and as much as I am saddened by H, I can't let that become my life...I have too much good to focus on.

Yes, we must focus on how blessed we actually are. We are strong enough to raise our kids, work our jobs (raising kids as a sahm is harder than my actual job, I can guarantee that), live our lives, and know that we would NEVER commit adultery.

Feel better but yes, watch out for a sinus infection. Not deadly, but a pain none the less.
